HOW LONG WILL MY SEMI-PERMANENT COSMETICS LAST?

  • Cosmetic tattooing is designed to fade over time as it is not forever permanent. Skin type, lifestyle, age, metabolism, medications, and pigment color affect the longevity of the tattoo. The sun and some kind of lightings, such as tanning beds, can affect the rate at which these pigments are broken down.

  • Final results vary and cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of skin as it heals. A follow up appointment is recommended at 6-8 weeks where we can assess your pigment retention and make any changes necessary.

DO PERMANENT COSMETICS HURT?

  • Topical 5% Lidocaine is used to make you comfortable during your semi-permanent procedure. However, pain tolerance varies from client to client. Having the procedure during your menstrual cycle will most likely increase your sensitivity.

YOU CANNOT RECEIVE SEMI PERMANENT COSMETICS IF YOU ARE:

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Are currently using Accutane or have used Accutane within the past year

  • Are on blood thinners or antibiotics

  • Have freshly tanned/sunburned face

  • Have Rosacea

  • Are currently undergoing cancer treatment

  • Most be off Chemo or Radiation for 6 months

  • Under 18 years of age

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IMMEDIATELY AFTER MY BROW APPOINTMENT?

  • Hours after your procedure your brows will begin to appear much darker and bolder than it will actually heal. This is due to the oxidation in the surface layer of your skin. You brows could also appear warmer in color. You may experience some redness or swelling around the treated area, this typically disappears within 48 hours.

  • The entire healing process (until your touchup)will take from 4-8 weeks depending on your body regeneration and age. Your new eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle.

The pigment will appear very unnatural looking immediately after the procedure. The color of the pigment will appear much darker the next day.

  • Note that because of natural skin regeneration, after the recovery period  brows might appear lighter or have lost pigment entirely. This might give you the impression that color is fading too quickly. Often even with proper care, clients may have more fading in some areas which make brows look uneven. It is absolutely normal. The epidermis will be thicker causing muting, hiding, or diffusing of pigment underneath. The Epidermis will normalize over the next 4-8 weeks. Your body rejects a lot of the pigment the first time and accepts more the second knowing it is safe.

  • At 6-8 weeks your brows will be fully healed and whatever pigment that does not return will be addressed at your touch up appointment or if you’d prefer darker, bolder brows we can do so then.

DO I NEED A TOUCH UP/FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT?

  • YES! This is very important if you want full results. All permanent cosmetic procedures require 2 sessions. During your 6-8 week follow up we can assess your pigment retention and make any adjustments needed. This follow up also increases the overall longevity of semi-permanent cosmetics. Please note that everyone heals different and may need more than one touch up session for desired results.

  • I require that anyone who has previous work by another artist text me a picture before booking an appointment as I may not be able to work over the previous work.

  • Previous work will need to be AT LEAST 70% faded for me to work over.
